Physical fitness as we know it today is miles from which it began. It began as simply survival then converted into preparation for war then began some very early competitive sports. Later it became philosophical since the body was admired for its beauty and strength. For a brief time, the main objective turned to preparation for war and after that it ventured into a medical standpoint as the great things about health and fitness came to light. Then we became sedentary and began to recognize the requirement for physical fitness in different ways. Thoughts on the other hand turned time for competitive sports and, next few centuries, evolved into the present day day revolution that people see and hear a lot about. Physical fitness has evolved in the centuries from basic survival to health awareness. When a plan is finally formulated it usually looks something such as this; you are going on a diet of some sort and if you're really motivated attempt an exercise program. This makes sense because everybody knows the fewer calories we take in the more fat we could lose. Add jogging a couple of times a week and some sit-up and eventually that rebellious stomach is going to be put in its place. Having marked my ten-year anniversary of first arriving with this country on August 3, 2011 I pointed out that although my environment has changed drastically from those of ten years ago I have never really release my 'old self.' Rather, I have learned to check out my beliefs while using natives' list of eyes. After all, 'you cannot enter your neighbor's garden with your own personal declaration!' In this article, I would like to contrast and compare a number of the superstitions in the Mediterranean cultures which are practiced underneath the guise of 'scientific' premises from the United States.
