William with his fantastic friend Jason bring their bicycles to the attic, shrink themselves, and go on a journey. They meet Sir Simon because he is getting ready to leave for a tournament, and they stay at his castle. They spend more time a boy along with a girl at the castle and together. The girl tells them associated with an omen her grandmother, Calendar, kept repeating before she died. Sir Simon sent Calendar away towards the convent as they thought she was crazy and that he doesn't believe the omen. Few accept is as true but Calendar's granddaughter does. Jason and William trust it too. However the humans living for the spaceship were different to the humans who're living on the planet now. They were so fat that they are struggling to walk. they travelled around in motorised chairs with a monitor and cup & straw attached, chatting on phones and when they happened to fall out they just laid there until a robot came along and picked them up. The adults were fat, the children were fat! They just laid around all day consuming doing no exercise what so ever and to quote the captain, "Computer, define dancing". William went on a marvelous journey six hundred years back over time along with his nanny, Mrs. Phillips, inside first book, The Castle in The Attic. He met Sir Simon and defeated the villain, Alastor. This book starts with William being a couple of years older and Mrs. Phillips sent him a birthday present, the charm of Janus used inside the first book. The charm can be used to shrink and un-shrink things, animals, the ones. Then, if these shrunken folk spend the night time in the castle in William's attic, they wake up inside past. The attic is finished, along with a forest is away from castle. Alicante features a small city centre, so that you can visit most of the tourist locations by foot. The city is pre-historical thus there are various historical places of interests in Alicante which are worth a trip. Iglesia de Santa Maria - the 15th century church ? is one such edifice, also the oldest in Alicante. The interesting aspect with Iglesia de Santa Maria is that it was a mosque during the Moorish times. The MUBAG and Town Hall are situated quite nearby. Located 5km through the city centre could be the Monastery de la Santa Faz, the great tourist attraction worth visiting.
