I've stood a weight problem all my life. My parents bought me "huskies" while I would definitely grammar school. I wasn't an incredibly active kid. My parents always provided 3 good meals for me daily. School lunches were actually nutritious in those days. They weren't anything as if they are now with pizza, tacos, hamburgers, hot dogs, chips, sweet sodas and many types of kinds of chips and desserts. I hear chips are the main course especially with school girls. Today's kids don't have the opportunity. For a lot of people, getting to a health club may be the hardest step. However, some, who did hit a fitness center, decide to quit simply because they see no significant result after making long and hard efforts. The problem lies in the fact hitting a health club is just not enough. It is necessary with an effective workout program. Traditional treatment programs, especially Alcoholics Anonymous, profess that being of service to others is really a critical element of addiction recovery. And, I would accept that perspective. However, everyone?s true-life purpose is unique and necessarily have to do with helping others overcome alcoholism. In fact, 90% of the time, the true life function of an addicted person has nothing related to addiction recovery. Providing a blanket rule, like AA does, not just leads people astray, nonetheless it?s also counterproductive because helping others with the exact same affliction usually perpetuates victimization.
