Rather, these were referred to as "depot hacks". In the horse-drawn days, a "hack" was a wagon.
I'll be honest, the written exam I took was laughable at best. I'm not wanting to undermine anyone around or perhaps the test makers themselves however, many of such questions were way too easy.
