Peugeot began its reign in motorsports since the start with the entering five cars for your Paris-Rouen Trials in 1894. These motorsport trials are largely thought to be the 1st motor sports competition. It was not until 1912 that Peugeot made its perhaps most obviously contribution to motor sports when one of several entered cars won the French Grand Prix. This winning Peugeot car was advanced and influential for later designs since the Peugeot featured a dual overhead cam configuration with four valves per cylinder. The Peugeot innovation made it in a way that the engines could possibly be smaller and kick out maximum horsepower versus depending upon larger heavier engines to obtain the desired horsepower.
