Young Diesel graduated on top of his class in 1873 and going to the Industrial School of Augsburg. Two years later he enrolled in the Royal Bavarian Polytechnic in Munich. He would have graduated in July 1879, but he was sick with typhoid fever. He graduated in January 1880 and moved to Paris.
