While the doctor can directly observe the inner ear canal through the ear lamp or the mirror, the earwax can be taken out directly with a q-tip or medical tweezers. When the earwax has formed and the earwax is hard to remove, the doctor can also use ear drops to soften the earwax. The softened earwax is expelled from the external auditory canal and is easy to clean.
