The first thing you want to do is put in your safety glasses and your gloves, so that you aren't getting injured, as small pieces of metal or dirt can disappear and hit up your eyes. Then, apply your car's emergency brake, and after that lift the auto, by using a jack. You should have a jack, as all vehicles come out from your factory with one.
